Bed and Breakfast are available at the Old Manor House in two of the bedchambers, dating from around 1610. The spacious front chamber is 18 feet square, with a heavy timbered ceiling, and is furnished as a family room with one double and two or three single beds. It lies on its own landing with the guest bathroom adjoining. Of a size that would constitute a large double bedroom in the average estate agent's particulars, this contains a roll-top enamel bath, stylish modern basin and wc, a temperamental Spanish shower cubicle, and a 17th century Nine Men's Morris board to while away the time while the eccentric plumbing decides to deliver hot water. |

The second bedchamber, known as the ‘Crewel Room’, is smaller and is furnished with a double bed. When this room is let, which is normally only to friends of those who have booked the principal room, guests will use the same bathroom. Both bedrooms have a hospitality tray and televisions that might or might not work following the Big Switchover. |

Breakfast is served in the old kitchen, featuring a fireplace big enough to cook an ox whole. Breakfast, of slightly smaller proportions, can be served at a time to suit, starting between 7.30 a.m. and 9.30 a.m., or self-service Light Breakfast earlier. Local and Fair Trade produce are our speciality, all set out on 17th century gate-leg tables. This room is also available for guests to use as a sitting room. |
